RetroShare

So... my HDD died and I replaced it with an SSD. Sadly I lost now all my stuff and the Retro Share connections. I just reinstalled retroshare and followed the Intallation steps like last time (the one on page 12). Now I get a problem which I didn't have before. It Says at step 15 (restart Retro Share):

"Sorry but Tor cannot be started on your system!
The error reported is:”Unknown Error” "

Any ideas how to fix it? Couldn't find any solutions. My normal Tor browser works fine...

EDIT: Fixed it (Solution is at Page 13, Change HiddenServiceDirectory to HiddenServiceDir)

I'd just take another look at retro, it's worth it once you get it going and get connections

is there content on retro that generally is unavailable elsewhere? that was my consideration when trying to get going with it;
that is, am I actually going to be finding new stuff?

I have several questions regarding Retroshare on Mac, i got it installed with much difficulty through Brew, it seems to work, but the version i 0.6.0 and not 0.6.5. It seems to work though, i just cannot figure out where to configure DHT which is off.

ugh retroshare......why not just use mega.....

Because mega is limited on resources (you can't download more than XXX per month) and mega can be blocked or deleted. All SB, Kei and Amethyst related accounts were blocked.

You don't actually need it. You use Tor, right?
