Has any tried this sort of laser removal

AFAIK, this thing does not remove hair, it only slows the growth down.

Agree, consumer IPLs stunt growth and "only" slow down re-growth. The hairs will also not grow back all at the same speed and often a bit thinner, which is nice (I assume the individual follicles are "damaged" to different degrees). Using a consumer IPL together with an epilator does a fair job, but is not the same as a removal via a medical grade laser or electrolysis treatment (way out of my financial possibilities rn unfortunately).

Consumer IPLs need to be used regularly & take a very long time to do your entire body and some parts are difficult to reach, so if you have a very patient SO/friend that would be a very big help.

During the covid lock down I had the time to use the IPL regularly & used an epilator when the thinned out re-growth started with good (and the epilator part less painful) results. After covid I no longer had the time & started daily shaving again (I don't like shaving + an epilator, you have to let it grow out a bit, something I hate to do ... facial & body hair is my main source of dysphoria). 

Unfortunately my skin does not handle any removal creams I've tried well, rashes, though I sometime use it lightly to soften stubble.

But quite a smooth finish, which we both enjoyed (she really is loving my smooth legs, which is a very pleasant surprise) 

Early days, but I don't think the finish was as good as shaving - I will persevere

Yes, the very first time is painful. After that, no more than a light itch scratching. Just try to use it every day. In this case, you will have to remove only a small amount of grown up hairs.

(Chronicling my current hair removal journey)

I had initially planned to have some waxing done by a Salon since I thought
a) I'm going to have a lot of time before I check into my hotel
b) I should have it done at least once to see what it's like.

I booked a place a couple of days in advance, but when I showed up they claimed to not have made one (although they did confirm I had dialled their number) and had no idea who I spoke to!
They then informed they didn't do men's waxing and especially not for leg hair, all around very dismissive attitude, and they were awkward about it.
I looked into a lot of places in the surrounding area, but they either didn't pick up the phone when I called to enquire, or didn't offer the service at all.
Honestly, it was bewildering!
(The one place with a professional sounding woman who did offer the service unfortunately let me know they actually don't open on Monday's which was sod's law)

So I bit the bullet and bought a lot of wax strips myself from a pharmacy along with some hair removal cream and tried it myself. The waxing wasn't actually as painful as I thought it would be (though it still hurt a lot) but it also wasn't as effective as I thought it would be. In some areas of my legs it seemed to work near perfectly but in others it missed a substantial amount which is what the hair removal cream was for. I actually ended up blistering a lot of my fingers I ended up using so much (and couldn't quite twist to get some areas either).

By the end I was exhausted, the entire process took well over 3 hours, and this is without any shaving to tidy up. There were a couple of areas on my back that I could not quite reach, which was annoying, but ultimately it was a success. I'm VERY much looking forward to trying some nylons tomorrow and seeing how the experience differs from just putting them on as is!

I've got Braun Sill Epil 9 (aleady broken) and Panasonic ES-DEL8A. Both are missing hairs, even long ones, what is extremely frustrating.

The battery in the Panasonic is almost dead, and it does not remove much...

I have been starting to shave again recently (chest, legs, "downstairs"). Can't get rid of/avoid really stubborn razor burn in the pubic area, it sucks.

I've been trying to exfoliate the day before, softening skin and hair with a hot damp towel, using shaving cream with Aloe for sensitive skin, resisting the urge to shave against the grain for a smoother finish, soothing after-shave balm, wearing loose fitting cotton boxers... nothing really helps.

I also have an electric shaver, but it leaves too much stubble and every epilating cream I ever looked up is very specific about not to be used in the genital area. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
