Dropping in:
It is interesting how different the regulatory regime is by country (and even by state). I'm personally skeptical that people in America are in that much danger in the long run but the recent backlash by the hard right has been frustrating. I admittedly am never really harassed (as trans), perhaps because my extreme height (>2m) intimidates, but nonetheless I obtained my concealed carry license this year and a 9mm handgun just in case. I do get a lot of questions about my height, but that was true long before I transitioned and it does have more of a a tinge of sexual harassment to it now... but no real explicit reference to being trans.
I had peritoneal pullthrough vaginoplasty (PPV) at the end of May and am very pleased with my results. Orgasms have been plentiful after about four weeks with clitoral stimulation. Feeling a lot better about myself and my body as I continue to heal and regain my strength. Excited to try PIV sex in the coming months. I had a frustrating time getting access to surgery (went through probably 5-6 different surgeons offices and my poor therapist wrote half a dozen WPATH letters) but I'm glad my patience was rewarded with a great care team and a pleasant experience.
Ironically, I went to look at what I would need from my doctor to correct my birth record and discovered that a few years ago the need for a medical certificate of sex change had been removed in my state... so I could have done it a while ago.
tl;dr: 11/10 would recommend.
