Femininity
Well, yeah, in the first one, the women do their best to look sexy and willing while the guys just don't care at all without making any effort.  They obviously don't know how to walk in heel and if they walk with their knees that separates, it's so hard to walk they are practically just doing it to look weird I think.

The second one is a bit different.  The guy is trying to make a bit of effort but clearly, don't know how to move is body and is not quite convinced  even if he tries.  And while he's just trying to make the movement, he forget to "show his asset" by taking the right angle to the camera.

I think it underline a difference but without trying to source it.

You would have these guys, doing the video, I think we would have had a better view of the "non social" difference.

This make me think of the different dance cultures.  For having work with african people in different african country, I've seen them dance in club and there is a far less difference between the way men and women in their cultures (at least, those I had the opportunity to witness) than in our western country.

So I think the difference underline in your video is much more social than biological.  (If we are trying to place them in the right category)

Not a fair comparison. The guys in your videos are perfectly trained. The girls in mine are not, they are rigid, a bit awkward, and still they have this grace and aesthetics.

Because girls are not trained for grace and aesthetics?   😉

And I'm not comparing, I just say that the video does not compare correctly guy and girls and that if it was these guys (mine) doing it, the difference would be more interesting in our quest of identifying which kind of difference (social, biological) it is.

And you have to compare with properly trained girls anyway 😊

Not saying they are properly trained...

In any case, the guys definitely spent some time in front of the mirror 😉

Speaking of gradual vs dichotomic (we had quite a hot discussion at home with my wife and daughter 😁 ).

My point was that any classification can be reduced to a dichotomy applied recursively. E.g.:

Code:
A -- Not A
       B -- Not B
              C -- Not C
               ...

In other words, to have a classification, you must have at least one dichotomy.

In this thread we are trying to separate femininity from masculinity, so a threshold must be put somewhere, otherwise no classification is possible.

I came across this little essay and I think it's interesting in our little exchange/debate here, even it's not directly talking about :

https://www.academia.edu/13322557/Gender...osexuality

It concludes to the idea that gender (social version of our discussion) is dichotomical because it's constructed via the heterosexuality prism.

We can classify without clear thresholds. Think about colours. We agree on typical examples of red and orange, but there is no clear threshold between red and orange.
