I did a session with the 2 ratchet technique, the hogtie is not very tight as I am recovering from a herniated disc (again) but it did work. To make sure I would not overtighten it I put a knot in the rope so the ratchet would stop there. For the rope around my upper arms I made a loop that is hold in place in the front and in the back, this is secure enough, I wasn't able to get out of it.
