Sort of on-topic I've seen elsewhere on the site posts about using a straw/tube to suck air out of a balloon to achieve a vacuum pack effect. Apparently that's what they ended up doing with Michelle Pfieffer's Catwoman 1989 suit so that it fitted properly into her arm pits.
And then you had to polish her up, what a job!
