RE: Selfbondage CD Tray Opener 2.0 release - MetaSteel - 30 Aug 2010 the problem with av and autoit is how autoit packages its programs into exes. you won't get around the alerts, you'll have to be sure its a trusted program yourself and manage your av. I love autoit, but this drawback made me leave it๐ you do nice work qwertybcn121. but this script needs to be modified for people that have more than one drive. especially if the first listed drive is, well, virtual.. can't attach a key to that one xD keep up the good work ^^ RE: Selfbondage CD Tray Opener 2.0 release - qwertybcn121 - 30 Aug 2010 (30 Aug 2010, 21:04 )MetaSteel Wrote: the problem with av and autoit is how autoit packages its programs into exes. you won't get around the alerts, you'll have to be sure its a trusted program yourself and manage your av. One danger still remains, though. What if the system hangs? Not that it happens too often with the latest Windows... A couple of suggestions. o- run the program with a higher priority o- check the scheduled tasks (who knows what will start in the middle of a self-bondage session?) Please notice that on the main screen of the program I always remind that it must be ussed only with an alternative release method. For me it has been very important to give to version 3.0 the battery checker that will open thcd tray when the battery goes under 10% of life. And , even recomending you to disable internet conection of the laptop during the selfbondage sessions, now the program blocks any kind of forced reboot (the one that windows does when it installs some updates). In fact, you can't reboot or shutdown the computer when the program is running. I've also fixed a problem that made the program doesn't run in Windows 7 and by now I'm working on fix the countdown screen (d'you remember that text doen'st fit on your countdown on some windows 7?) PM me if you want to try the Beta of 3.0 please. I don't believe the program works in XP Professional, as I can push the button on the front at any time and the tray opens whether or not there is a cd in the tray RE: Selfbondage CD Tray Opener 2.0 release - qwertybcn121 - 19 Sep 2010 (19 Sep 2010, 21:09 )RickB Wrote: The idea is to use the program like that: ![]() and the new version like that: ![]() Anyway I recomend you to take a look at the latest version: Beta |
