I don't think so. This kind of men's skirt are available since long time ago. And this is the only type of men's skirts that is considered somehow acceptable for men (unless we all finally agree, that kilt is also a skirt!). Yes, goth, metal, punk, emo style, but still.

well, okay, perhaps it is just the style that I don't like... But I am pretty sure, that men can look fine in various other skirts. And if you look at someone with contemporary boxer shorts and squint your eyes, it might look like a skirt too 😉.

By the way, I think, a kilt is a skirt, just like a dog is a four-legged animal. People probably insist, that it is not a skirt, because kilts are worn by men, and men don't wear skirts...
