I hope no one minds the terrible necropost, but I whipped up a quick prototype on the 3dprinter. probably took me around 8 hours including print and design. you can find pictures, a movie demonstrating the mechanism and 3d-models here:

some things to note:
- the dovetails tend to stick, I need to up the clearance a bit there.
- the slanty cube that locks everything together can pop up a bit, keeping the lock from closing.
- I made the eyelets rather feeble on purpose, should the lock fail it shouldn't be a problem to just rip the eyelets to pieces.
- A woodworker could probably make this using a router and a bandsaw. doing that would probably result in a way smoother mechanism than what I have.

there is so much you can make with a 3d printer, it's insane. only problem is that the plastic might not be food safe, so no printing dildos. you could potentially print a mold and cast your dildo from silicone though.
That's pretty awesome. I've often considered using one of the online printing company's to print the lock for the leotard.
Since my successfully construction of a vacbed I think I could probably make the latex components for this outfit
