BTW, seeing an ASM code always brings good old PDP-11 memories from my studentship 😊
Did you find the error?

Yes, it's not PDP-11! 😁
My ~12yo computer is too noisy and hungry, so I'm building my new PC...

The idea is to build a silent PC (not completely fanless, but at least a CPU-fanless one).

The specs: AMD 3700X, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master MB, 64GB RAM (Trident Z Neo), 2x Kingston A1000 1TB SSD (supposed to be in RAID 1), existing EVGA GTX 960 card, 400W fanless PSU (not arrived yet, using a less powerful one).

The problems: a lot... Beginning from the case, which is not quite compatible with the MB, and ending with the inability to have the NVMe SSDs have in a RAID1 conf... Trying everything one by one: Ubuntu 19.04 desktop, 19.10beta desktop, 19.04 server... Learning, experimenting, learning....
Ok, why use a case. Mount all your parts on a chassis, and add components as you need them. Or, you could lay everything out on a chunk of plywood until you have everything working correctly, then mount it in a box.

Dust protection, circuit protection, fan protection, space protection.

I just mounted everything on the bottom plate of the case, with 2 walls and the "roof" open, and the old SSD and a replacement power supply laying around. SO, yes, a typical test lab 😊
This is how it happens.

Are you considering shutting down?
