Woman while young, man while old

I always wanted to be a woman, but I never had the money to transition.
However, now that I have the money, it's too late. I'm 29 years old. Who wants an old woman? Right. I don't want to become some old spinster. Lets face it, (broadly speaking) young women have much easier access to men than old women, and old men have much easier access to women than young men.
Most young women spend most of their time having fun fucking old men.
Old men run companies that take advatange of young men while fucking all the women, and in turn young men spend most of their time on their careers and skills, trying to find ways to make more money so that one day they can stick it to the man. This leads to old men out earning old women because once you are old your brain is not as sharp and you are not going to be as competitive as you would be had you started to get those skills younger. Which leads to old women leading poor lives of solitude and desperation. No skills, no money, no youth, no beauty.

So I came to the realization that, for both men and women, half of our lives are unfulfilling because of this age dynamic.
Would it not be better if everyone was a woman while young and then a man while old? Be desired by the opposite gender at all times. It would surely reduce inequalities between the genders and increase overall happiness.
Would it not be better if HRT and surgery was free, even being the norm for most?
Would most voters be on board with paying higher taxes for that?

You're speaking as though you're sure that the world is just as you've described when really it's just a bunch of hyperbole and stereotyping based on an extremely narrow and hyper-dramatized viewpoint.  You've been spending too much time on social media and watching movies about wallstreet or the corporate world.  I don't know anyone that would want to live in a world like this, including myself.

29 is not too old, I know people who started in their 60's or older. 29 is YOUNG. I wish I was 29 again!!!

I'd talk with someone qualified, like a therapist, rather than relying solely on the internet. IMHO, having gender affirming surgery ONLY for sex/relationship reasons isn't a good idea.

I for one appreciate youthful hyperbole and such. The point of being in your 20s is to say stuff like that. Lots of opportunity to be boring later. That being said -- half the simplistic equation is missing. If we accept as one half being "old dudes and young chicks", then we should include the other half of "old chicks and young dudes". Loads of young men bang milfs through specialized dating sites, and the only things the horny ladies want is for you to not look like a hobo, or a serial killer, or a romantic fool who will cling.

Not everyone is horny all the time. Most people usually have short peaks of sex mania when they lose their shit, and the rest of the time is "baseline normality" in the libido sense (unless, heh, they maintain permanent sex mania with the sex mania files). Irl, a lot of the problems happen when people in peak sex mania try to interact with people not in peak sex mania. It's like they inhabit different universes, speak different languages, and belong to different species. Via the internet though, people in peak sex mania can meet other people in peak sex mania, and the interaction makes much more sense. Specialized websites filter out those not ready to participate in the dance, or those who want a different dance.

So super-horny young men who (perhaps misguidedly) feel they have no chance of banging hot young chicks should try banging super-horny hot older chicks. It's one of the most magnificent things in the world. I'm told. I've heard. A friend of a friend said. To another friend of a friend.

And concerning surgery. Let's dial the cynicism up to 11 here. We mostly behave as if we are in a Iain M Banks future where people can just shapeshift for kicks back and forth and it's great. Maybe that's not quite what's happening, at least not yet. Maybe rather it'll at best happen one generation from now. 

Let us imagine a society in which people are compelled to look like some variation of hollywood angels due to reasons. Be six a half feet high, have wings, and be able to heal people. In a Iain M Banks future they would really be turned into creatures who can flap wings and fly, who can emit bioelectrical impulses that heal, and so on. In a larping version of this future, they would undergo torturous procedures of lengthening their leg bones and getting joint implants, which later never quite work as advertised, they'd be grafted wings grown from their ass skin, with implanted aluminum wiring to help them keep a wing-like shape, and would be prescribed a daily regimen of immunosuppressants, antidepressants, and painkillers forever.

Every day they would be expected to do highly painful leg and wing exercises just to keep them more or less functional, and the flying and healing will only happen when they meet someone in the same scene, do dangerous drugs (and, heh, hypno) together, so that one will be able, at the height of the experience, to mumble "I'm flying, I'm flying, I'm healing, oh my energy is shooting out of my palms", while the other is all "oh baby you're flying, yeah,  heal me, heal me with your energy".

Whenever fantasizing about switching over from one body shape to another for real, through surgery, one should ask 2 questions, imo: 1) are we as a society closer to the space opera future thing, or to the painful and torturous larping thing, and 2) am I prepared to pay this price for the relief I imagine I will get. 

Many people do get this relief, and for them it was very much worth it. Some people -- not so much. And this latter type, if they do decide to play around with transformations, should maybe stop short of actual bottom surgery and just enjoy what's possible through hormones and makeup and lip boosts and tit implants etc. Shemale power! Plus, keeping the nutsack tends to help maintain the libido high enough to be able to actually enjoy the pornographic ramifications of the transformation.
