For me it was Bali island back before 2014. A paradise of beaches and delicacies. I ate/drank my first real coconut there and there was this wonderful hotel with a bar in the pool with a cabinet at the front door with jewels that truly amazed. Even years later I can remember the giant aquamarine rectangle that beckoned like the sea. The image I attached is the only thing comparable to what was in that cabinet. It wasn't a land of peace and tranquility but rather excitement, fun and summer all together.
I ended up moving further away on the map and it became more expensive to visit as a result and when I returned it was becoming industrialized which was good for the economy but not so much for tourism.
