It must be mentioned that latex, oil and copper do not mix. The latter two convert latex into goo.
In that case, fuel and latex should be a bad mix too, since fuel is a member of the oil family.
How about alcohol or white spirit and latex?
Silicon oil seems to be somewhat special. It is used to shine latex and pvc and apparently doesn't destroy the material immediately. But, is it harmless, or even beneficial?
