Well, the cost for such app development for Apple Silicon is EXPENSIVE due to the cost of the developer packs from Apple. They also want a % of sales cost.

Well, the cost for such app development for Apple Silicon is EXPENSIVE due to the cost of the developer packs from Apple. They also want a % of sales cost.

You can still install SW w/o the App store and ARM Dev Kit isn't more expensive than the Intel version.
If one wants to support new Macs then it's either that or Java or Python or Ruby or Rust or ...

There are plenty of options technically, but it is additional effort.
