Some time ago, i spent several nights in fetish wear.
With my then partner, I spent part of the night in rainwear and even one time a hazmat with gas mask.
The first hour is great. Sweet dreams, erotic stuff.
After that, IF you can fall asleep, I slept for a few hours and woke drenched, bathing in my own sweat.
As the sweat cools down, it gets cold, no matter how many layers of bondage are applied.
So, because I was distinctly uncomfortable, I used my safe word and got out.
Never tried to do something so drastic for selfbondage.

Yeah, I've done this regularly over the years. I've got a few Sleep sacks in various thickness and material weight, so I use one of those that's going to be comfortable for the whole night.
Generally it will be, grabbing a pouch/thing type underwear thing, put that on and then putting a Lovense vibe in them, that keep the vibe secure in place but not too distracting or tight. Then it's a simple catsuit. I'll then set the vibe for open access to all my contact in the app, I'll also set an alarm for morning that triggers a long pattern I've got. Then I get in the sleep sack using a string.
It's not the most secure since I could get out reasonably easily, but until then it is bondage with the possibility of a mysterious visitor, then woken up in the morning with 90 or so mins of vibes.
I found not going too hard leads to a better experience, so the minimal stuff, since it does actually make sleep easier.
Generally I'll do this whenever my I've got a free house, or when i go stay at a hotel for a gig or what ever.
Sometimes I won't use the sleep sack, and instead I'll lock on lots of Lycra layers, with a collar and a timed padlock connected to a neck zip. There's more freedom of moment with this, but there is no escape if the vibes start.
