When adding your cert it isn't showing an .onion address. I didn't know if you where aware or not. It looks like you aren't connecting through Tor.

I'm not sure, but it might depend on the "Network mode". If DHT and/or(?) "Allow RS to ask my IP" is/are allowed, then the external and internal IPs will be visible.

I'm not seeing an .onion address when I go to add your cert. I didn't know if you where aware, but it appears you are not connecting through Tor. The guide recommends all connections go through Tor.

Thanks.  I am using tor but must have missed a step to get the two talking.   I appreciate the help/alert.

I wasn't sure if it was normal or a misconfiguration or what. I'd hate for people to thing they're using Tor and it turns out they aren't.
There's surprisingly little info for Retroshare out there. Having the official forums on Retroshare puts you in a an awkward situation. No friends, no forums.

Hence this thread and the technical one 😋

Users here are lucky in that respect. It's good of you to provide such a place for them. Thank you. I would have never figured it all out on my own.

What format are you looking at to determine no .onion? Can you show an example?
I went through the setup steps at the beginning of the forum. Even so, it wont connect correctlly stating the DHT hasn't started properly. I am not that familiar with most of the networking terminology; is there something I need to check to ensure the setup is correct?
