Yup, I'd really like to try this one, sounds exciting. 🙈
But uhh.. The payment is just declined. Guess it's cause there're troubles with accepting payments from Russia.
Does anyone have this one in particular? Or maybe another way to buy it.
Thanks^^ 🙂
Reading this thread has got me wondering:

Is there anyone else who's curious about this kink/fetish/behavior modification/whatever you want to call it who identifies as a "burned out former gifted kid", like me?

For me the appeal is, for once, not being "the smart one", not overthinking everything, and a lifelong, nagging idea (true or not) that dumb people are, on the whole, happier.

There are three things that scare me:
  1. I make a living with my brain. I can't afford to get fired.
  2. My partner, who is likewise a "burned out former gifted kid", thinks intelligence is sexy. She's tried dating one or two "sexy and/or kind but stupid" guys in her younger years and they had no appeal for her.
  3. At my age, having too many "blonde moments" or otherwise exhibiting signs of losing cognitive ability might not unreasonably lead those close to me to wonder whether I wasn't suffering from some form of age related dementia.

part of me wants to try Bambi Sleep but I'm put off by the idea of permanent IQ reduction.   😟

(if you want to know what a BOFGK is and how we got that way, and some of the common negative outcomes for BOFGKs as adults, there has been a bunch of stuff written about it, available via your favorite search engine.)

The way I wrap my mind around the 'dumb' suggestions, is to think of it more as a realization on how 'dumb' we are in the grand cosmic scale of things.

It's not that bambi makes us dumb or stupid in comparison to our non bambi self, but that bambi reveals to us just how 'all knowing' we aren't, even though we can sometimes feel that we are. The blonde moments are moments in which we can take a step back and realize that we are currently worrying about the wrong things in life, or that the thing we are currently worried about isn't being contemplated at the proper time. How many of us worry incessantly about 'tomorrow' that we forget to focus on resting up today, so that we can handle tomorrow fully charged? (Talk about a sure fire way to burn yourself out.)

My thoughts about BOFGK combined with my own experiences :
The primary curse of a "burned out former gifted kid" is that we were rewarded too emphatically for things that came too easy. It is far better to reward the process, not the result. With the high expectations of "being so smart", comes a 'perfectionist' complex, where if the person can't see every step from A to Z, then procrastination follows. Eventually the burnout comes, when instead of feeling 'good' and 'thankful' for a job well done, you only feel 'relief' that the charade hasn't come crumbling down. Enter imposter syndrome, where becoming bambi seems preferable, just to escape the hell that arises when you live your whole life taking your own effort and work for granted, simply because you never properly reflected on your struggle and sincerely said the words "Thank you. You did a good job figuring things out."

My usual search engines aren't providing any useful results. 🙁

Typically one of the outcomes is that our entire identity gets tied up in being labeled "the smart kid", to the point where exploring other aspects of personality and identity often get closed off. Then we hit adulthood, where that label doesn't matter any more. What now?

Why? Being smart does not mean you can't be kinky 😉 It's the other way around, you know MORE kinky ways!

Why? Still perfectly applicable at any job and at any job level.
