How to take good photos (also of yourself)

We see thousands of awful and awesom photos every day. Do we "draw conclusions"? Can we use what we see in "good photos" to make our own photos better?

Very interesting topic... I found some pretty examples showing the lens compression / focal length effect.

Hey @Like Ra How do you compress the images? I've noticed that yours take up less than 100 KB while mine are almost half or near 1 MB.

I think you mean one file - yours was PNG, mine is JPG.

whaaaaat? it is as simple as changing file formats? they look almost exactly the same, yet the size is incredibly different.

Especially smartphone cams still suffer from shape distortion the further you get from the middle.
Knowing that, I usually try to avoid the big bobble head look.

Of course, you can also use the distortion to your advantage if you can manage to 'lengthen' your legs a bit.
