Congrats Tinker! I know just how great it feels. I remember how great it felt to purchase the modest little place that I have now---after losing my family home in San Francisco. I did not lose to fire, but to vicious predators. These were the two-legged predators, the kind whose claws were green, and emblazoned with the images of dead presidents. A few had teeth sharpened at prestigious law schools. Luckily the chump-change settlement that I got, was enough to buy this place.

Still, I lost more than just a home. Leaving SF meant losing the clientele of custom leather business (I offered both products and "services"). It meant selling most of my equipment to finance the move. It meant leaving behind a BDSM community that had treated me like royalty. Worst of all, as I was leaving, I had to watch our fetish community get decimated, and our venues and dungeon spaces bulldozed. All, to make room for luxury highrises, to house overpaid, self-righteous "tech" employees. Some wildfires come without flames.

Wished I knew about you earlier, I have lots of designs and references of all sorts of leather bondage equipment. Everything from harness to clothing. But I lacked the skills to bring them to life.

But getting this house has a dual blessing.
1) it’s not a rental. Means, I don’t have to move every time the owner dies.
2) my upkeep or rent, is about $500 per month.
3) most important, unless I don’t pay my property taxes, I can’t get evicted (unless my house burns down), and I have insurance to cover that.

So, Woo Hoo… I’m good and happy.

Just now saw your post. Somehow, I did not get an alert. I would love to see your designs. Perhaps you could scan or photograph your designs? You could either post them, or attach them to a personal message. I may not be doing the leatherwork at the moment. However, if I meet the right people, who knows? I may be older. But, they're not throwing dirt on me, just yet.

No, they won’t be living there with me, but I could just see them popping in at the most unexpected times…
And that’s a problem if my grandkids see me all tied up in a costume or something.
