In free mode, there is a trick involving a car jack.
You will need:
1) Cut two pieces of wood into the shape of a car jack (triangle) with an angle of 45° or more, depending on your preference.
2) Put on socks to protect your skin.
3) Secure your foot to the jack with packing tape.
It's ugly, but it works.
