There appears to be a lack of dangerous positions in this thread. Does that mean everything is safe? HECK NO!! However, I will contribute to start something of a discussion. A hogtie that connects the ankles to the neck, sometimes called a "goat tie". Do not do this. You will naturally try to straighten your legs, which will put pressure on your neck. Do not do this.

This is Kim Cattrall in "Big Trouble in Little China". In an interview about this scene she said she was surprised about it but had been "in tighter positions before". She had a film crew watching her every move. You don't. Do not do this.

Anything tight around the neck is dangerous and should not be done. Have I said yet that you should not do this? Don't.

First thing like everyone else said is stuff around your neck however joint and nerve damage is always a concern.


I am reading it as high risk instead as chance of death can be mitigated
High risk positions:
Most things to do with suspension, far too much to go wrong and no one to bail you out in time.
Extreme shrimp ties, high risk of breathing issues
Using a karada for suspension or securing the main 'collar', that fits around your neck to things such as your legs.
Likeras Strappado bondage next to stairs also comes to mind, the tripping hazard on that one.
Deepthroat stuff, choking hazard ahoy.
Poorly made rope armbinder can damage nerves.

Some accidents have been posted in this forum before. It would be nice to link them here. I remember, there was a self-mummification story with unexpected heavy breathing trouble, the cling-film had moved over the face of the guy. Fortunately, he got free in time.

Breath play in any form can be deadly. Actually, reduced oxygen supply (or something related to that) causes an erection. And reduced oxygen eventually causes you to pass out, from where it is a matter of time to die.

Go to 2:15 where I was mummified and wanted to stick a tape blindfold over my mask. The wrapping came a bit to high and with this movement I taped shut my air supply almost completely. Could only move slowly and calmly from that point on, trying not to panic and getting to the release blind and short of air.
