How many people here love ballet heels/boots as much as I do?
They are my go to footwear for me. I have a couple of pairs of high heels. But I always gravitate back to the ballet heels. I think it’s the fact that they really make your legs look long, combined with the fact that they are uncomfortable and very restrictive for movement.
I had a pair of thigh high ballet boots for a short while.. wanted to see what they felt like... very interesting, had a couple of sessions in them.. but then sold them on.
all in all I think had they been ankle of calf/knee length id probably have held on to them... I keep looking and thinking about getting another pair at some point... but they are a bit large to stash away... and my hiding holes are nearly full!!! ha ha ha
I have two pairs of ankle ones. One in black and one in white. I fancy some transparent ones for some bizarre reason!
As for hiding holes. I can sympathise. I have all my stuff hidden in two locations and I’ve become a pro at folding clothing etc as small as possible to make room for things.

Same here with lots of lacing involved. I got dressed up in my favorite outfit, etc., got them fully (and tightly) laced, and immediately started cramping! I couldn't get them off fast enough. Tried several times after that, but could never get past the cramping. It was strange because I enjoy really high heels and have never had a problem before. Too bad because I loved the look and feel of them.
How to lock on your boots (or any shoe with laces), even if it has a side zipper.
- When lacing the boots, skip two holes at the ankle.
- Insert a padlock through one of the holes. Leave it open. The open end of the padlock is now inside the boot.
- Wrap around the ankle a short flat chain, put on the boot, and tie the ends of the chain on the padlock, inside the boot.
- Pass the open end of the padlock through the second shoe lace hole and lock it on the outside.
- Optional: add a hobble chain before locking the padlock.
Added pics.
My boots are a bit large, so my padlock is tied vertically with two holes one above the other, but you may tie it horizontally with left and right hole at he same height.
