Armbinder dress

For a simpler view, I copied a few images

It seems to be a dress with an attached back part that can be zipped separately. And - unlike a much more interesting leather design - it is fairly affordable.

We shall see more in two weeks.

I saw that as well.
Please let us know what you think when you get it.

Well, it is pretty much what I expected, except the material is slightly stretchy fabric which is pvc-coated on the outside. Sizing is a matter of guessing of course, because they give you asian sizes. XXL fits me OK, I consider trying XL as well (I am 183cm tall, 78ish kgs). The main part is a tight dress with a front zipper all the way up and the only special feature is the position of the arm holes - behind the shoulders. And on the back there is another layer to enclose the arms, also zipper all the way through to the collar. The bottom is open, so you can pull up the dress and get your hands out. But this opening is not wide enough (even when stretched) to get it over the elbows.

Of course I have tried it already. With the back part fully open, you can put on the dress like any other dress. The arms are free enough to close the zipper. Then there is a little challenge because the back part forms shoulders that you have to get into. One side is easy, the other needs a bit of wiggling and pulling (I could grab it with my teeth) to get it in position. I had a string on the back zipper to pull it up all the way and that finishes the job. Arms encased behind the back, no way to get to the private parts and if you want to sit, you have to sit on your hands. Getting out is not straightforward, the zipper can't be pulled down because the collar stretches and the end of the zipper simply bends over. So you need to lean against a wall and work the zipper down a bit first. And in an emergency case, you can probably tear the fabric...

Well, I like the idea of this piece and when I feel a bit more like spending money again, I might order a size XL for a snugger fit. It is quite comfortable and comes in various shiny colours (I got violet, the next one might be blue). Quality is not top of the line but the stitching is neat and even in this size I don't look like a garbage bag. Good enough for who it's for, as one of my favorite youtubers keeps saying 😉

I have a plan, but this might be a bit more dangerous: There is enough room to grab the elbows with the hands and I have a belt that tightens when you pull on one side. So put the belt right under the elbows and pull tight - box tie.

Pics! Pics!
sorry, no pictures.

But I did two more things:

1. I already mentioned the "more dangerous idea", a belt around the waist while the arms are folded back hands to elbows. This works pretty well, and when I want to get out, I have to push hard on the belt to make it wider again, then I can open the zipper. Feels very good and restrictive.

2. I also mentioned, that perhaps a smaller size might be even better. During the box-tie, it was even more obvious. The back part that keeps the arms in place is reasonably tight when the belt is on, but my arms are not "glued" to the back because of the slack in the dress itself. So I ordered another one one size smaller. It arrived today and of course I had to try it in. Wow, that is exactly the right difference! The dress is a snug fit stretches a bit when I close the zipper. The back part for the arms is narrower as well and by just the right amount, enough space to have my arms straight down without stretching my shoulders but not much wiggle room for the elbows (well, there is stretch in the material but it follows every movement, no slack, unless I push my elbows together really hard).

There is a similar dress, but the armbinder part is outside, only attached to the shoulders. I suppose, this is similar to the armbinder bolero, except that it has a dress attached. I might try that one next. Sizewise, it will be guesswork again, even though it is the same seller (and probably manufacturer) and ths basic size should be similar. But this time it is because of the length of the arms, because the bag for the arms is only that long and I don't know, what that is....I checked on the internet and it turns out, that a woman with a waist of 96cm would be about my size (and probably have a similar arm length). That would be 3XL. There is an extra that I like about this dress, it is very long 😉

Any issues with closing/opening the zip?

The zippers are pretty good. Plastic but strong. On the first dress the zipper tends to roll at the collar, so I have to support it when pulling on the string. The second dress doesn't do that, probably because the collar is tighter. And it is a snug fit, not super tight, so no problem closing the zipper.
Summary update on the smaller dress
It fits well, feels more confining than the larger dress
Zipper is pretty good, just as the other dress
The collar, probably because of being more tight (not strangling, just closer to the neck), does not roll, when pulling down on the string which is attached to the zipper slider.
This basically means, it opens really easily, which is nice and not nice at the same time. Quick release but less daunting. The other one works every other time, or even less, making it more interesting
I'd call this self-restraining rather than self-bondage. I would buy it again, if it breaks.

OK, third chapter.. I think, I mentioned the other style of bondage dress from the same seller. Instead of two flaps folding over the arms in the back, it has a bag to contain them. And it is ankle-length and tight. Well, I ordered one and it arrived on Monday.

First impressions:
I ordered it in XXXL and blue colour. The blue is really nice, the XXXL was because of arm length - a too short armbinder is bad. As it turns out, XXL might be OK as well, but I do reach the bottom of the armbinder. For the dress itself, XXL would be nicer, just like the other dress.
The zipper is okayish, but way less reliable than the ones on the other dresses.
Putting the dress on is fairly easy. It has a two-way zipper on the front and I open the collar wide enough to get my head through, and then most of the way up from the bottom. Then I pull it over the head and close both zippers. Obviously I am mummified now, but the arms are not in the bag yet. But this is (too) easy: I slip in one arm, elbow first and then the other. The material is quite stretchy and the bag is an extension of the back part, no hard corners or stiff seams.
Apparently, this makes the escape just as easy. The hardest part is to open the zipper. Looking on the bright side: I don't need strings on this dress.
Well, another self-restraining dress.

Apart from that, it feels quite nice, the blue colour is great and I enjoy wearing the dress for a while, struggling in ways that don't get me out 😉
I won't buy a smaller size anytime soon, because it won't make it more secure, and it feels fairly restraining as it is. If I wanted to replace it, I would go for XXL though.

I still have an idea in mind, but it might be too efficient: If I use my belt, I can wrap it over my neck (behind), cross over the chest and join at the back, under the shoulder blades. Once tightened, it should make it pretty hard to get the arms out of the armbinder, and I would have to use a string on the quite finicky zipper. Still thinking about it, but it feels a bit too risky - I don't want to get stuck and having to destroy the dress.

Another idea is to have my wrists tied together once they are in the bag. I will see, if this makes it impossible to get my arms out. If that is the case, I could use a lockable tie and leave the key outside. The idea behind this is that eventually, I have to grab the key with my feet, drop it into the dress and see to get it to my hands. If I were into timed bondage, I could even hang the key on a time lock and voilá!

There is one dress left, I am not sure, if I want to buy it (I want it, just not that badly). It is a hobble dress, long sleeves and there is a certain red colour that I really like. there is a christmas gratification coming up and then I will think about it again.
