All you need to make a solid support (even if you're renting one) are 3 slightly oversized beams as shown in the drawing below. Decorated well, they will OFFICIALLY be used to support the hammock / the macramé / the speakers / the giant screen / the little mood lights.
We'll just point out that you haven't skimped on the materials.
