Medical risk of tight tape gags? - Bound Whore - 09 May 2026
After experimenting a bit with tape gags, I was wondering if there is any medical risk of applying tape gags, be it duct tape (lowest elasticity), microfoam (medium elasticity) or medical tape (highly elastic).
I found with medical tape, if you pull it fairly tight and do a couple of layers, it generates quite a lot of pressure, resulting in forehead veins standing out and very pronounced reddening of the face above the tape gag. It sure feels like a sign that you should not be doing it this way.
I assume that the subcutaneous blood vessels are isolated from the vessels in your brain, but I couldn't help but wonder if there is even the tiniest risk of causing a stroke or an aneurysm when playing with tape gags due to hemodynamic interference.
One could of course just apply the tape gag more loosely, but where is the fun in that?

The adhesive on duct tape can remove skin when you peel it off. If you want something that works similarly but doesn't carry that risk, use gaffer's tape instead. Much more expensive and harder to find, but also safer.

I myself don’t particularly like tape gags, but I have tried them. I think the medical tape is better. But for me, pantyhose is way better.
