I don't know if it's a meme per se, but you know the 'iceberg pictures' with level1 - level5 of things in ascending order of extremity? Say 'Disturbing Movies' perhaps, with tier1 containing maybe Solondz' "Happiness", tier5 having maybe Salo, Nekromantik, etc...
Does one exist for hypno creators? IE: mild and playful tier1, abandon all hope ye who enter here tier5? I'm sure it would / could vary based on subtopic, I'm just curious if one exists at all.

Do you mean the environmental iceberg decimation scale pictures or the (various) Freudian iceberg models?
I think it would be quite difficult if not impossible to chart, it boils down to morals, which is always a very subjective matter - often based on local social & religious values for the individual involved & not on any global independent facts. What one person finds in any given "Hypnosis" file (or in any kink for that matter) tame, joyful, "normal", pleasurable & non threatening can be seen by others as extremely disturbing, dangerous and exceeding all personal boundaries and full of red lines. We all have our own "lines & limits" and they often change with time and experience (even without exposure to such files) quite a bit. Even terms like positive & negative will vary a lot.
You might be able to say file "xyz" is potentially dangerous (or contains things which are or can be if all care is abandoned as is sometimes suggested in such files) to a person's health.... but that is true of even the most mundane things, salt, cinnamon, water etc. Depends on how the individual deals with it (and understands & interprets it) 🤷🏽♀️.

Hmmm, that will always be a subjective scale. Hypnotists can only give suggestions. Those suggestions can appear extreme or not, from the outside, depending on the observer and their background. A good hypnotist will try to make suggestions that are not too extreme for their subject. Encoutering a suggestion, that the suject rejects, can cause the trance state to end. The "kink" usually is just allowing people to live out their own deepest and darkest desires. Growing up in a human society, people are wearing masks for social interactions. Hypnotists just peer beneath that mask and suggest to remove parts of it.

Some do that, others go off the deep end (a good example Belyaev/PigGirl anal-pig-brainwashing overload) making some of the early parts of the file seem less extreme & more "palatable" for the listener. I would never go to those extremes (& could not physiologically & the extreme for all play is severe danger to your health, but can be a fantasy for some). The suggestions later in the file make the suggestions at the beginning seem quite tame. If the file were taken earnestly at face value with "all care abandoned", pretty dangerous.
Others use similar techniques using trigger words which are intended to be offensive, derogatory or humiliating, wearing down the shock effects of the terms (causing a "So what? I don't care what you call this, I enjoy and embrace it" effect). 'Tists are all over the place with this stuff. Some are very consoling, good-hearted and gentle with the listener, others the opposite. A few don't really tell you what they are up to (though you can usually figure it out listening in "aware mode").

Well, what does one expect from a file called anal-pig-brainwashing overload? Maybe a scale of honesty could work, like if a hypnotist says their file is about X and then you end up with IQ reduction or something you did not want to think about. But what is this for anyway? The subject is in aware mode 100% of the time, maybe just not conscious. I know people want to believe an external power made them do what they did. But that is simply not true.

Totally agree that scales are subjective, but it's been successful applied to topics like this - generally people's opinions fall into a pretty clean pareto (although I accept in our case - very possibly not!) Still I have to think with the various forums here there are some names that come up in the 'scary' thread, some that are considered docile and relatively harmless. Agree there will always be exceptions but I know I've now amassed a shared library (if you haven't retroshared you should) of about 50-80 names, with libraries of those who's names I've noted to check out will take me a considerably long time - I would love to know which are considered spicy. I think it would be a good guidepost for people who stumble in here, too.

Completely agree subjective, but some the shtick of some of the tists -is- to be mean, unethical, 'curses', etc. I don't think a newb should handle Mt TomTame, but I would guess from the content - him explaining the whole way - he would self-rate as a level3 or higher...

To finish the thought: I think it's a doable exercise. If I threw together a quick googledoc and shared it somewhere, did a very rough tier defn - would anyone here play ball and spin down the list, throw in ratings for those they were familiar with?

Quick 'what's it for':
1. Quick at a glance reference for 'If you like this / these, also consider...'
2. Separate the wheat from the chaff - likely a lot of garbage in these here hills
3. Those who accurately self-rate or go in conservatively could see which to defer without stubbing their toes
4. Opposites of 3 can dive in headfirst.
