AliExpress/Chinese sizing for US buyers? - NonBinaryBecca - 23 Nov 2025

Can anyone clue me in about the sizing on AliExpress?

I'm a US 7.5-8 men's, 9.5-10 women's, EU 40-41, depending on how the sizes run. What does that translate to as far as the sizing on AliExpress?  The sizes look like they're about the same as Euro but I'm unwilling to gamble. They do have a sizing chart but I'm unsure how far I can trust that.

One further problem is that I have really wide feet.

Thanks in advance.

This is indeed a mess. If I look for instance at the size conversion table of zappos, they give different shoe sizes for the same size of the foot for women or for men in terms of European sizes, while European sizes are supposed to be identical for women and men. All I know for sure is that my feet are 24.5 cm and that I need European size 39 or UK size 6.5. In general each EU size extra corresponds to 6 mm. My wife has rather wide feet. She chooses usually one size larger than indicated by the length of her feet. Depending on the shoe, good cobblers can stretch the shoe so that becomes a bit wider. They have a machine for that. The Chinese sizes often seem to be one bigger than the EU sizes, but I do not have experience with them, because I have only bought shoes at ali when they referred to EU sizes.
