Rain Fashion and PVC fetish - Strappado - 31 Aug 2010

There are so many fabrics besides latex and lycra that I find interesting, and so I would like to collect stuff here related to these fabrics.

Starting with a maker of rain fashion, that I like a lot. It is sort of vintage material, similar to the one used way back in the early 70s, much softer and heavier than todays cheapo pvc raingear for fishermen and sailors:

PVC-toga - random find:

chinese plastic gown:

And those images from car-maker calendars, naked women except for transparent rain coats and rubber boots/gloves, washing cars etc., can't find any right now. These used to drive me mad and I still like them. Here is one, that I eventually found by chance:

I think it is soft pvc as still used for elderly women's transparent rain hoods. I really love this material and its smell. I used to have a jacket like this, not transparent but definitely this material. It has gone astray during a panick-cleanup.

Around 1975, K-Way rain jackets were high fashion. http://i3.farfetch.com/10/03/98/25/10039825_173314_1000.jpg
These jackets were eventually degraded by design, no hood, or hood in the collar, billions of air vents and eventually boring high-tech fabric.

There was a special very thin fabric too, which feeled kind of oily, but was completely dry, air- and watertight. That was about 30 years ago, I have never seen anything alike since.

PS: I fully respect any form of non-abusive fetish preferences, but please, could we leave out any water-play or adult-baby fashion in this thread? Anyways, both probably deserve their own threads if there are enough people who like it (like one or two 😊 ).

When I was 14-15 I had a wind- and a bit rainproof jacket with a hood made from thin white semitransparent nylon. It had several strategically placed laces. It was begging to be worn with pantyhose or over pantyhose zentai. And, of course, I used it in my self-bondage adventure ;-P

I found a shop in UK. Reading tiny fuzzy urls on photos sometimes pays off 😊

I am not going to buy anything there right now, but this shop stays in my browser favorites. As far as I can tell, it is just and only pvc/vinyl. Some quite unusual stuff under "fetish", for example the kissing hoods:

well, not suitable for solo play...

That reminds me my efforts to make a tight transparent swimsuit from plastic bags. I was ~13...

Great idea. Reminds me this http://www.likera.com/blog/wp/archives/4760
BTW, they mention a rubber version of the hoods...

In fact they do some rubber, but plastic is their main business, I think.

Every time it rains heavily at night I'm tempted to rubber up and have a walk around the back garden, the problem is one of my neighbours has a very sensitive PIR light on her extension, every time I open my back door her light comes on...

Doh, some trouble here as well, my garden door is right next to the window of my neighbours sleeping room.

There is one variation of wearing a (rain-) coat that I sometimes consider for public wearing, but never tried so far: Stuff the sleeves and pin them into the side pockets. If done well, it should look like they were normally worn, hands in the pockets. Underneath, wear whatever - bondage, armbinder, etc. Hood up, scarf to cover a gag, "harmless" pants. With all this, I should look like an ordinary man who is well protected against rain and cold. I only wonder how much the real arms will show underneath the coat. I am glad that I am not living in France, where public mummification is a crime these days, so this idea can still be done.
I consider buying something from this pvc shop I mentioned above, either
http://www.pvc-u-like.com/store/showitem.asp?id=295
or
http://www.pvc-u-like.com/store/showitem.asp?id=788
the Chinese model is cheaper but I like the elastic waist-band.
http://www.pvc-u-like.com/store/showitem.asp?id=499 is nice too.

I will have a look at the shops from the link section as well, they seem to offer some of the British products as well as other stuff.

Oddly enough, I think the French are right here. Arab women are gorgeous, I want to be able to see their beautiful faces...😉

Weren't you British? Then you should have many opportunities to see them at home 😉

Perhaps we can discuss this law and similar approaches elsewhere, to me it looks like simple propaganda while the real problem that is supposed to be addressed won't change a bit.

Funny, recently we discussed burqa with our friends. Basically, one of them told me that he's afraid of "black people" and his first desire is to call the police: "Who knows what's inside..."

I recently saw a thin hand in tight black glove appeared from inside the burqa to press the traffic light button. So I said that burqas can provoke imagination. You can imagine a bound schoolgirl, a school teacher in a short skirt, heels and stockings, a nurse, a librarian, a hairy man, a boy... Anybody!
