What about Aliexpress? Did anybody get anything from China recently? Have they started shipping?

Hardware shops can open and repairmen can visit your house in an emergency (exempt from the 'no meetings of over two people' rule). Don't think the edge-of-town big-box stores are open though.

I have three items I ordered from China, only one showed up, and was a week or so ago.
Everything else is tied up.

Oh the irony of your bondage items tied up while you aren't.

Here in Pennsylvania it's been a lockdown, stay at home for about a week now. Living alone makes it easy to stock up on supplies so I haven't been out in public in 2 weeks. The essential vs non-essential businesses break down to luxury = no, necessity = yes. Closed are gyms, salons, theaters, niche retail, construction, restaurants, education, mining, logging, tourism. Open are farming, utilities, repair, grocers, pharmacies, trucking, transportation, fuel stations. I'm optimistic about beating this virus as long as we take things serious. Idiot spring breakers.  😡

P.S. Attaching a list of closures for people in other parts of the world wondering what might stay open during a stay-at-home order.

Yep, I was right. I went to work this morning and was told the entire city staff is considered essential. It was actually causing me anxiety that I might have to stay home so today's news about being essential was super welcome. I've spent the last day and a half filling in with the IT department since we have a ton of people wanting to work from home.

So you do not like to work from home?

If I could, I would not mind it at all.

I'm Oregon too but I am in construction and it is still considered an essential trade so I still have my guys working. We are in a rural area so keeping separation is easy.

I will answer this one - just received my order from Ali I made on Feb 18. So China is back!
