RE: RetroShare - Goettingesucht - 01 Dec 2019

Hi,
I got the problem that i couldn't find some Users files, (for example Krinlycs) and got the info my files were'nt visible to all, to check i wanted to update from version 6.4 to 6.5 if that does any difference.

Do any of you have a guide where to find how to switch versions without creating a new account, the ones i found described very old versions (retroshare docs)

Does anyone know where you can export your profile including the network and/or signatures you have gathered?

I'm not a noob in software, but it seems to be a not so easy task... at least for me...

Thanx

Strange, I did not have any problems with and after the upgrade. Probably because it's Linux.

If your DHT is suddenly not working anymore. You need to delete the bdboot.txt located in your retroshare profile folder. Maybe it gets corrupted if you force retroshare to shutdown or it crashes.

Hmmm you need a new bdboot.txt - dht wont work without.
Just do a quick google search ...

It will be automatically recreated.

I'm constantly getting log messages saying "remote connection refused by peer". Is this a sign i have something set up wrong, or are people just refusing the connection? Totally get it if it's the second but it repeatedly sends me the log message about the same person even after I've cleared it. using version 0.6.5

I noticed that Tor settings on my QNAP were reset to the defaults, so RS could not connect to it. If you notice, that you do not see anybody, or file activity is dead - check Tor settings and the "green" light in Preferences -> Network -> Hidden Service Configuration -> Tor outgoing Okay
