RE: RetroShare - AngelOfDeath - 04 Nov 2020 For network mode, I can only choose between Discovery enabled (recommended) and Discovery disabled. I left it on the default setting which is the former. I did forward my port on my router and allowed it in my firewall. Anyway thanks a lot for trying to help ! Maybe I will ask the devs. RE: RetroShare - Like Ra - 04 Nov 2020 (04 Nov 2020, 01:30 )AngelOfDeath Wrote: For network mode, I can only choose between Discovery enabled (recommended) and Discovery disabled. Are you using Tor? I'm on Linux, so I see it like this: https://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/Thread-RetroShare?pid=44044#pid44044 RE: RetroShare - AngelOfDeath - 04 Nov 2020 Yes, I'm using Tor. When I created my node, I had 3 options : the first one to create a normal node, the second one to create a tor node configured automatically, the third one to configure a tor or i2p node manually. I picked the 2nd option. I'm also on Linux, using version 0.6.5 of Retroshare. RE: RetroShare - peterparker1337 - 23 Nov 2020 Hello, my problem is that i can't connect to other people in rs, no matter what i do. When i try to add a friend, it says behind NAT & no DHT. o- What RS version are you running? 0.6.5? Windows/UNIX? v 0.6.9999 on Ubuntu from the repository (tried other versions in the past) o- If not or UNIX, is Tor running? Tor service is running, checked with systemctl status tor o- If yes, on which port? all network connections Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:9150 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 27090/tor tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:9151 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 27090/tor tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:41985 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 27373/tor tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:41249 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8834 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:902 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 127.0.0.53:53 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:631 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:9050 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:29754 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:38299 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 27373/tor tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:7934 :::* LISTEN 27365/retroshare tcp6 0 0 :::8834 :::* LISTEN - tcp6 0 0 :::902 :::* LISTEN - tcp6 0 0 ::1:631 :::* LISTEN - udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:59572 0.0.0.0:* 27365/retroshare udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:36405 0.0.0.0:* 27365/retroshare udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:40630 0.0.0.0:* - udp 0 0 127.0.0.53:53 0.0.0.0:* - udp 0 0 192.168.0.66:68 0.0.0.0:* - udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:631 0.0.0.0:* - udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5353 0.0.0.0:* - udp6 0 0 :::52370 :::* - I configured my retroshare account with an automatic hidden service, so: outgoing: 127.0.0.1:38299 incoming: 127.0.0.1:7934 xxxxxxx.onion:xxxx o- Preferences -> Network -- Local address - External address -- any green lights? (UPnP is grey) -> also tried to deactivate windows & router firewall I have a cable router without the option to forward ports (because of IPv6 i guess) Can someone think of a possible fix? If it's this one: 127.0.0.1:9150 (check torrc file for the SOCKS port), you should put it in Preferences -> Network -> Hidden Service Configuration -> Outgoing Manual Tor.I2P -> Tor SOCKS Proxy RE: RetroShare - ccoyote - 04 Dec 2020 (05 Jun 2019, 23:04 )Like Ra Wrote: The original tutorial from 8ch (the only issue is that the "Hypnosis Keyserver" is mostly down): I could not access http://scwmwsig5mvoyz32.onion/ is there a new address for it? You do not need to sign the keys. The remedies are - to keep the certs up to date - stay online 24x7 - to have peers that stay online 24x7 |
