Yes, looks logical. Where did you get the plate with a ring? 😊

That’s assembled. I have the 40mm catch plates on the way from an electromagnetic specialist website 10 pcs for 5 Eur.... but the only offer 10 Eur shipping service. 😟
Then you just use a countersink head screw and a threaded ring nut, not ordered these yet waiting to find out if I need 5mm or 6mm threads, and won’t know that until the plates arrive, hopefully today or tomorrow.

What's the electromagnetic specialist website?

www.Magnosphere.co.uk

But it all ends up coming from Germany.

They actually arrived about 1hr ago.
Have now ordered the m4 eye nuts too.... but they are coming from China so will be a while. Uk stocks were only available in big packs for too much money. ?

Today’s progress photos.

Emag surrounds 3d printed.
And Emags mounted

Had to print a new battery holder as I managed to break it when drilling a hole in the case. ?

I’ve ordered a timer control board for the cuffs.

Innovateking-EU Time Delay Relay, 12V 5V USB Relay Module 6-30V Delay Controller Board Delay-off Cycle Timer Control Switch with LCD Display Support Micro USB 5V Power Supply https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MNWT2CJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_o40VCbJACYTE0

Looks like it should be able to do the delay off function I’m after.

A similar relay, but 3 times cheaper and a bit smaller in size.

My idea was to connect a battery directly to the magnet. Similar to icelocks - battery discharged - you are free. The approximate lock-time can be calculated.

I wish I had a 3D printer. Need to make some surrounds for my mag locks. 60kg rated.

I would guess that what you need would be a very simple design. I'm decent with 3d modelling and could design something you could take to a local 3d printer if you gave me exact measurements. I'd offer to print it too, but the cost of shipping over seas would be more than it's worth to print what you need locally. If you want to discuss this further, let me know.
