The trick is finding the right ring size and angle, which makes pulling out too painful to want to do it.
With enough force, any plastic/nylon cage can be bent & broken or cut. I find the CKs as stable as the HTs (original & clones, have both) & both of those much more stable than the Cobras. Metal is ofc stronger, but the locks on all of them are the weakest link & can be defeated or if a padlock cut. I never got that desperate to get out, fortunately.

Personal experience now allows me to properly answer @Like Ra on this point. 😁
If the chastity device is not fitted properly, or slipped during your sleep, then 'yes' it can be most uncomfortable

In my experience, a snug cotton thong or a chastity ring belt (https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B0CYC36FSG/ ) helps a lot.
I prefer the former. They cause the growth to be inside of you behind the ring which is still pressed against your body and then not painful. This will put more pressure on your bladder/prostate when you do grow and you will have to pee more often. It also allows for slightly larger ring sizes - *if* the cage angle (aka "ball gap") is correct for the ring and does not allow your testis to slip through. As always YMMV, our anatomies are all different and opinions on chastity vary widely.

eady, I would advise starting with the widest ring, wear it for several days, then gradually reduce the size of it - this is to let the thin, soft and tender skin to become thicker, more resistant to chaffing.

A few days in to my 'home-alone' chastity and a
eady I'm discovering new things.For reference this is the choice I've offered myself for the first week
Obviously (because I'm a pervert 😊 ) I selected the second from left to start with.
It's a recent purchase NEW Snake V7.0 EVO 3D Cobra Cage Mamba Male Chastity Device Double-Arc Cuff Ring | eBay and this was the first time I'd worn it for any extended period of time.
First observations are that it is, for me, very difficult to get on/into (what is the right description???). The ring is ok, but squeezing the actual 'cage' on is a real challenge with quite a bit of 'pinching' of skin. However, once on it is quite comfortable and I wore if successfully all day with no problems (not even using the loo - so long at everything was 'aligned' to the appropriate slot!)
For the record I didn't feel confident sleeping in it, so switched out to one I know I can wear comfortably all night (they use the same ring and lock, so it is easy to do).
Also, and this might sound counter-intuitive, it was also the easiest (so far) for me to pull out of!
Now, I have a theory as to why this was - wearing the cage means any kind of arousal is impossible, not even a tiny 'stiffening'. This meant that pulling the cage forwards was easy, as there was nothing 'protruding' to act against the movement. If I'd been wearing a larger cage, there would be a chance of me being less flaccid, which would have introduced a physical restriction the simply pulling the cage off?

Interesting - I can only go by my physical feeling when wearing either of the two smallest cages is that of no erection at all, internal or otherwise.
Also, when removing the cage there was no sign of any kind of erection either (even though I was in a mood that normally would have created one) - it didn't 'pop out' stiff, if you see what I mean. 😕
