Absolutely! For women it's much more important how they look and what reaction they will get. So they dress for others. They might get aroused, but mostly by the attention.

I understand well what you mean.... but is it really all that different?

Some women love the feel of the material on their skin &  when looking at themsleves in the mirror or their reflection in a window, find it sexy and arousing. When it is affirmed by a wider audience that can heighten those feelings. Some women have this with corsets, skirts, nylons, under garments, heels/shoes etc...

For AMAB people it is much the same - but because of restrictive silly social norms, the own personal (or perhpas ones SO, munch friends... ) audience part tends to be bigger & the public openenly appreciative general audience part often smaller...  the chemistry is still much the same.

There is one question I ask women when they say they have some clothing fetishes - Would you wear this if you knew that nobody would see you?
Usually, nobody answers it 😉

🤔 I have to think about that & try asking that question.

Some of my ex-gfs did like to dress up for themselves at home, a feel-good confidence self affirming thing I think - but yes, the majority prefer wearing comfy/snuggly things when at home & when not intending to be premeditated alluring...

Actually, they live in a cardboard box in my house.
So, my question to all is….

How do you store, or display your Lycra outfits?

Together with all of my sports related clothing in a couple of dresser drawers 🤷🏽‍♀️   ...

Tbh, aside from most T-Shirts & some shoes/trainers & some jackets/coats, most of my clothing was made for & intended to be worn by women. Most is fairly unisex and has some small annoyences, like useless tiny pockets (which I have learned to live with),  but they look better & I feel better in them. So they are not that out of place there.

I’m still living with family, so I have a storage space that I rent and keep them there in trash bags

Simply on clothes hangers in my wardrobe closet together with the "normal clothes".

No need for me to hide them from my wife in a secret box.

I tend to agree with this. I think because it's less socially acceptable to lean into the public part, we are simply forced to garner more gratification off of the private space. When you take away the restrictions on the public component, the private space becomes less gratifying.
