Ehhhh, yes and no. There are real speakers in there but what you see are not the speakers. The speakers are inside the black plastic cat ears. Also, they don't sound great, as it turns out.

My super-cheap knock-off arrived yesterday...and promptly broke 😟
The ear-pods are attached to the hinges by one 4mm self-tapping screw fixed about half its length into the plastic.I was able to superglue it back though. Also they're 'one size fits no one' (though they do fit me).
To be fair I didn't expect much for about a tenner but I need better.
