There are people with hearing aids. They tell me that it does not go that well together. RE: COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 info - Tinker D - 11 Nov 2020 Ok, I was thinking ( I know it’s scary ), when your face mask gets dirty, you clean it. Just toss it in a washer and it’s done. But if some of you who may be like me that doesn’t have a washer, what do we do. I can wash mine in my sink with soap and hot water. Easy enough. But may contaminat ones hands, and lord forbid you touch your face or dig out that pesky booger stuck in your nose. Just some random thoughts before I dig into today’s Binary Programming. RE: COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 info - Tinker D - 25 Dec 2020 This is a small up date on my part of life. So far, I have escaped from Covid-19, just staying one step ahead. I pretty much eat at home, for the most part. Get drunk, go out to eat when possible. I got lucky at work too. I’m one of three employees in my service that is still working. I’m on call 4 hours a day everyday. Hey, it pays for rent and utilities. That’s good enough for me. I also have taking a lot of vitamin D. Earlier this year, I heard that vitamin D could help ward off this virus. Looks like that report was correct. So far, so good, for me. But life sucks, and I just got slapped in the face a few days ago. My daughter’s husband works at a bar in town. He and the entire staff caught Covid-19.. tested positive. But no symptoms as yet. But at this time, my kids and grandkids are now off limits. I’m ok. Last contact with them was thanksgiving. RE: COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 info - Tinker D - 25 Dec 2020 To continue, I’m O-Pos, taking Vitamin D, and wearing a mask. A long time friend that I played with for the last 23 years is now missing. Disappeared about 2 1/2 months ago. No emails, no packages, phone goes directly to voice mail that has been full for the last 10 days now. I’m thinking he is gone. My other friend who lives 80+ miles north of me is so paranoid with the news, he asked me not to visit him anytime soon, to stay away till further notice. So today, Christmas Day, I will be alone for the first time in my entire life. Yea, life sucks. But I will survive, the last surviving member of my family. RE: COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 info - Like Ra - 25 Dec 2020 Yep, that sucks. Being alone, if not chosen intentionally, is one of the most depressive things. But! Testing positive is not the end of life. And there is some light coming from Pfizer & Moderna. So, use the forceful loneliness wisely. Saying that... Merry Christmas to us all! Even if only virtually we are still together (the letters are coming from somewhere, and it mist be someone 😉 ! Yes, there are changes. And as our Eastern friends say - all changes are for the good. So, here's a Xmas challenge - can you name any positive effect of the current situation? RE: COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 info - Tinker D - 25 Dec 2020 Thank you. On the bright side, I just got a call from my friend, not more than 15 minutes ago. HE IS STILL ALIVE. Thank god. I am so happy now, knowing he is alive and safe. This situation has been great for introverts like my wife and I. I wouldn't want it to last forever but the stay-cation has been nice. |
