I'm also uploading the certs of only the people that were seen online in the past 30 days. Personally I use this latter version as it makes retroshare work better.

I'm not seeing an option to import xml lists, can you point me to where it is?
Go into the network tab, right click inside of the space where your friends appear and then select "import friendlist."
When I try to import the .xml files, I get an error message saying "unable to parse xml file". Other xml parsers have no problem with the files so why can't retroShare? I'll see if I can find something about this.
I found the problem! I exported the friends list and looked at the formt. It had one additional tag just before the final one that is missing in certification .xml files. So I added it to the end and viola!, it worked.
When you import friends like this, does it avoid the step where the friend accepts the connection?

RS can be upgraded without any problems. Creating a new cert is a diff story. I don't think it's possible to seamlessly switch certs.
