A new self-bondage Magbound padlock from all-about-selfbondage

Interesting solution to use USB. But:

o- too expensive, in my opinion
o- it's very difficult to place cable outside of the reach
o- in bondage even with a relatively low amount of wriggling, the cables will die quickly.
A cable makes only sense if the magnet is mounted stationary. Even then it's not trivial to get it completely out of reach.
Ideally, the battery would be inside the case of the magnet, but I'm not aware of any that would be small enough an deliver enough charge. (Those magnets draw around 700mA at 12V). LiPos maybe or is that too risky?

Another option would be to connect the data-leads in the cable and then have a small circuit between the magnet and power-supply to detect if that connection is open (because the plug has been pulled or the cable cut, etc...). It could then trigger some sort of punishment...

Yes, absolutely. "Self-contained" cuffs.

A 9V accu/battery should do the trick.

Something like a "safety bucket with oil"?

or electro-shocks...

would be worth a test to see if the magnet is strong enough with 9V. Or with a step-up-converter.
A good battery might hold for an hour...
I need to finish my timer block... but no free to play time ahead doesnt help the enthusiasm to do so 😟

Ooooooyessss....
Its finished!!

Open lid  set timer for desired period 1-9999 minutes
Close lid with screws
Secure cuffs with locks and attach the capture plates
Press both buttons at the same time and its armed ...
Set capture plates into emag collars and you're set until time runs out!!

Several opportunities to play coming up over the next few months  ?
More details, please! 😋 E.g., what are capture plates and emag collars? What is that grey cylinder inside?
@ltxrob Fantastic kinky device!  Would love to see more of it (like the inside) if you're willing to share.  Are those 3d prints on the sides?
a lot of the info is earlier in this thread...
its mostly just wiring (messy) inside, it was designed on the fly, if I was sensible now that its proven id take it all out a make in neat ... but meh!

but in summary...
1) Box
2) 12v Electromagnets contained in 3d printed collars to provide a lip ran at 9v
3) Timer relay board with variable timings running from 18v
4) power board stepping 18v to 9v with a LM7809 regulator
5) 2 x 9v batteries in 3d printed holders
6) 2 trigger buttons wired in series to minimise the chance of accidental cycle starts, both need to be pressed at the same time

ill try to get some photos later
