My videos generate an average of just under $3 per month and they only pay out every $100 so this far I have received nothing. Counter is at $83.09 for 154574 views. If I can make more by switching I will.

Clips4sale has generated a decent amount for my studios. I haven't made any new material in 3 years, and I still sell enough to get about 4 cheques a month. When I was making material, almost always a cheque a month of a minimum of $100 US. Worked out my average for that period and it was $253ish. Not a free hosting site, but a clip selling site if you want to make money off of your clips. I have some self bondage on mine, but they didn't generate as much as the stuff with others in it or the ummm.... "solo" vids if you get my drift.

I will be redoing my studios, I have 3, so that one is self bondage however

Ok I have an update, before the great Pornhub purge I had earnings around $3 a month. Now for december 2020 it went up to $10.25 and this month (januari 2021) I made $16.43, pushing me over the $100 total needed to get a payout.

So, sadly a lot of the good stuff is deleted but at least my honest work is appreciated more. I expect this to drop again as users leave the site but I'm also planning to add some new content in the near future.

After my first video, I noticed an approx. bandwidth usage of 15.5 GB.

Is that a positive or negative thing? generally speaking more eyes watching is always better, but doesn't that also mean I making Like Ra server's cost higher?

I would love to know if there are ways to optimize videos to contribute in a different kind of way. Great quality, low cost philosophy. My current configuration is 1024x576/2500kbps/30fps.

I'm also considering uploading my videos to YT and share the link.

a hosted video I think is always best to keeps local costs down, that said unless its very safe YT is not the answer.
but finding a usable site is now proving a lot harder... lost al of mine in the recent PH & XT cull

Do you mean safe for the audience? like no nude or highly sexual content? I'm planning on self bondage content with some suggestive positions, so I don't know.
Or safe for my privacy? I wouldn't like people I know in real life to recognize me lol, that's for sure.

PH was another alternative I considered, but the recent wipe out is demotivating.

just the risk that someone "unprepared" sees it on YT and it gets flagged and suddenly the channel is gone is very high.

Sure you can make them private videos that only those with a direct link will be able to see them, bu that is also counterproductive once you have a few. 
as people will follow one link, then click on the channel but see no content, but you may have a 100 private videos that are similar and no one knows about them.

A dedicated "sympathetic" video platform is better, but finding the right one now is a bit of a challenge unless you "verify" yourself on PH or XT etc
