A number of weeks ago, a fellow CD figured out I liked self bondage, and wants to try it. One major problem.
He lost his arm, up to his elbow.
Have I tied him up? No. Will I? I don't think I will.
So, the question I have is, how can someone do selfbondage if part of his body is missing?

Why not tie him up, provided he wants it? Bondage often results in disabling all limbs, so it doesn't really matter, if he has one or two arms. And self-bondage requires some means of attaching and removing the restraints, but not two arms. If he wants it, do it, be sensible and see, that you both enjoy it.

I am not too sure that I want or willing to tie him up.

I think pantyhose single-glove might work.
With a belt, make a loop to pass the cut arm through. Then you have to attach the belt to the body.

You just had to be VERY careful not to hurt him because his legs didn't feel the pain.

With an ice lock he should be able to attach his good arm to something and wait for the ice to melt.
