How could the "60's" column not include Emma Peel, from "The Avengers"?

Yup. that catsuit was real leather!  Forgive the need for a digital repro---the screen captures off of 480i were worthless.  However, the artist did miss the diagonal zippers that went across her breasts.  The show never said what those were for.  Seemed an odd place for pockets.  Maybe, the were just decorations for adolescent audiences.

Mrs Peel's name was even derived from 'Man Appeal'. There was also a PVC version of the catsuit but iirc she much more commonly wore rather boring fabric versions, her predecessor Cathy Gale was much more reliable for leather.  Later, Tara King wore some interesting boots and Purdey very occasionally wore some lycra too.

I would replace that 1980's example with Wilma Deering from the Buck Rogers tv show. Way shinier.

Also  😁  Those costumes! LOL:

That's the one!
Who says that they don't make thigh-highs in men's styles!
These screen shots are from "Miami Vice" (Season 5 Episode 12 "Jack of All Trades").  Jesse Borrego played drug lord, Octavio Escandero.  (Forgive the poor quality of 80's-vintage video)
I have the same boots (actually, I think that mine might be an inch-or-two taller).  I ordered mine from a vendor at a Renaissance Faire.

When I first saw this episode on DVD, I was surprised at how eerily similar this character was to my pro-Dom persona (well, one of them, the most popular).  Add-in leather pants, a spiked leather choker, and longer, thicker hair, and the match would be pretty close.  I even had virtually the same earring (see video Miami Vice clip below).  Moreover, my voice sounds much the same (but, with a different accent).   I had a white ruffled shirt, but, without the long, lacy cuffs (I could see those becoming a safety hazard during a session).  I had another ruffled shirt in black, and a "poet shirt" in bright red.  With the black ruffled shirt, I often wore a large Phoenix pendant (about the size of my palm) on a long chain.

For reference, here is a Youtube video of clips from that episode:

The boots though, are/were a major hassle. They are simple pull-overs (no laces or zippers).  The leather is way too soft, and the boot-legs have a serious sagging problem.  Take a close look at the 2nd and 5th pics above.  There is a black cord tied around the leg (to hold the boot up) between the bottom of the knee and the top of the calf.  In the 5th pic (where Escandero is diving for cover during a gun fight) there is likely another cord tied under the cuff.  I made small, buckling, leather straps for this purpose.  They worked as intended, though did little for the aesthetics.  Also, because these boots are pull-ons, they are a b*tch to get on and off.  They are not lined (boots usually have a pigskin lining) and the raw, furry side of the leather has a lot of friction.  For that reason, it can take 20 to 30 minutes to pull them on, and even longer to get them off!  They are nearly impossible to remove, without help!  (quit snickering, I know exactly what y'all are thinking)  Luckily, I found, with a "boot jack", I can fight them off by myself.  ( a glued pigskin lining really would have helped, with both the on-and-off, and the sagging.  Even so, I really like them, and would never "purge" them.  Still, if I ever have the opportunity to have a custom pair made to my specs, at a price that doesn't require a budget rivaling that of the Pentagon...

I rather like the look, it makes a nice change form the standard 'smooth' all over latex appearance

My ex-wife got me a leather beret for Christmas, one year.  But, it's cheap leather, and doesn't look nearly that good.  I'm in the market for a better one.
More of the work by Anna Uddenberg.

This time a live installation! (literally)

You don't need the audio, but there are some sniggers if you listen  😁

Personal high-points are :

When the lady gets into and out off the face-down mounting - lots of lovely nylon leg flashing around.

And watch out for the bit around 1:16 when the second lady straps her arms tightly in place - Oh my!  💓

Enjoy

The name Linda Bellingham may not mean much to people outside of the UK, nor to those in the UK of less than a certain age....

But to those of us who remember her as Helen Herriot (All Creatures Great and Small), The Inquisitor (Dr Who) and her, arguably, most memorable role as Mum in the OXO adverts, here is a scene from a show I don't ever recall seeing called 'Second Thoughts'
