Put a catch pan that would capture any spilled/spit fluid. The fluid would go back to the "must drink" to be free container. This works best with a bent over, face down position. There would be no point in spitting the fluid back out because you'd still have almost the same amount to drink to get free.

Set-up: Start with a very full bladder. Have a gallon jug for "must drink" fluid. This jug would be connected to your release and activate the release when empty enough. The gallon jug would aeady be about 1/2 full with previously collected fluid that has been frozen. Also, a bottle of "unpleasant drink" that has been in the fridge would also be poured into the jug. A condom/tube would direct any newly released liquid into the gallon jug. A catch pan would be under your mouth area (that would catch any fluid you spit out), with a drain tube back to the gallon jug. A long flexible tube would be in the gallon jug, along with a weight to keep the tube in the fluid. The other end of the flex tube would be at your mouth, allowing you to drink from the gallon jug.

You have to choose to drink, but drinking is how you get out. The frozen liquid in the jug would prevent release too quickly. Since you started with a very full bladder, adding that with the liquid from the fridge and what melts needs to be enough liquid to drink to make you have to go again soon. The quicker you drink and empty your bladder over and over, the quicker it melts the ice in the gallon jug.

The gallon jug needs to be lower than the catch pan, but not so low that it makes it hard to drink from the tube, you might want to add a one-way valve so you don’t have to suck all the air out of the tube every time to take a drink. The variables you need to work out is how much liquid is frozen, how much liquid is added in from the fridge, and how empty the gallon jug needs to be to trigger the release. Remember that as some point when enough ice has melted, you need to hold in all that fluid to trip the release. You'll not know if the remaining ice is light enough to trigger the release till you've sucked up that last drop of liquid in your mouth… if not light enough, then you have to wait for the next round of unpleasant fluid.

Of course you could choose to never drink and just use your emergency release (immediate release), or back-up release (eventually). The set-up is meant to force drinking something unpleasant over and over, not just enough nerve for one "click" like a typical self-bondage, so there should be greater consequences for failing to drink. (pain, caught, mess, damaging something of value, too long wait for back-up release, etc... whatever would motivate you that it would be just better to drink than the alternatives.
