From personal experience I can honestly say that a standard vacuum cleaner, with a good airtight seal is more than enough to create an incredibly tight feeling.
My one thought on adding a vacuum pump is that it might be useful to keep the vacuum 'topped-up' (err... maybe that should be 'sucked-out'?) after the cleaner was switched off - sort of like what Krinlyc suggests. The challenge now becomes how to set everything up with timers and such.
Personally I would rather spend my time and money on a one-way valve, safe release and maybe a latex vacuum bed.... Oh to dream of latex sleep 😊
Please keep the feedback coming - great stuff
