I'm looking for a game element to influence the length / time in gear and bondage. can decrease, lengthen or even double. 
anyone tips?

I use a timer padlock around my waist to set the minimum time, which is about my latex, and the kitchen safe time box for bondage time and or locks on my cuffs

I have one that is very random but equipment dependant. If you have like a 5 hour ice lock you can add a mystery amount of salt to it which impacts its melting point, might be 2 hours might be 5.
