I am so excited I found this site! I found it a few days ago and have been looking at the the techniques and ideas with much excitement.

I am not new to self bondage but I love the idea's you have and aeady tried one of the ice-locks and a variation on the hogtie.( I suppose I can elaborate on that elsewhere.lol)

As a note I just turned 18 and have been experimenting in DIY bondage for years.(think candlestick with a condom for instance) But because I just turned 18 I found myself with a ball gag(yay!), japanese bondage rope, and some anal beads. Let's just say on my b-day I ran to my local Giggles with my cousin with much enthusiasm.poor thing;he let me drag him all around the store for 2 hours.

I can't wait to get involved with the forums and learn some awesome stuff. I am a willing student to any advice you guys give me.

Self-bondage and girls is an extremely rare combination. May I ask you to elaborate on the "history" as well? When/why/how did it all begin?

really....I know a few girls who like self-bondage.I just think a lot of girls now-a-days don't like to show any kind of submissive behavior because they're afraid someone might it(but that's just my two cents)...anyway I've remember masturbating as young as ten and ending up tying up my barbie dolls.(got some good ideas for bondage though...lol) I used to think it was a bad thing and I that I shouldn't so it.

not just my cousin.hahaha....my mom and all my friends know too.I recently was talking with Hooded from the bound forum(maybe you've talked to him) and spoke of why its not a big deal that practically everyone I know knows my "interests"...to put it simply, I have the attitude that says..."if you can't except my like of bondage or ignore it so it doesn't bother you then perhaps we shouldn't talk." yet again I surround myself with open-minded people. also I refer to bondage in more comedic terms with friends and since I also know mostly perverts like me(lol) they find it funny if nothing else.I get a lot of questions though and happily answer them.

I LOVE all the stuff about the self-bondage techniques and as soon as I found them I began trying stuff out. If I have any questions about scenarios I'll be sure to ask...
like I said before I love using shibari/rope bondage in my play. I also have a fondness of the frog tie for the legs as well as spread eagles and have been getting ideas from several people.though if you have any ideas I would LOVE to hear them.

Almost nobody wants to show that. But on the other hand, it is very visible for experienced people.

Self-bondage is still a very different thing. Bondage and general fetishes can be (and mostly are) "oriented" towards other people. For example, to seduce or to be seduced. Look at the acronym BDSM: Dominance (implies 2 or more persons), Submission (same), Sado (same).

Bondage, Discipline and Masochism can be practiced alone and called self-bondage. You see the difference? Alone vs public. Huge, enormous difference.
