Yes, it had it's faults and there where a tiny number of abhorrent and unacceptable images, but the solution was an over-reaction of the very worst kind. It was also lazy - it was too hard/expensive to monitor properly so they simply blocked everything

Cherish this forum and all the work Ra puts in to maintain it.

Ps. though I am lamenting the loss of Tumblr as it was, I can still see new posts appearing there that challenge it's new rules - rebels are still fighting the forces of oppression.

As I said, it's all a bit half-arsed (or 'Lazy' as the BBC call it) so it doesn't surprise me that some people haven't noticed anything yet.

The decision to disallow adult content came after Tumblr was removed from the Apple App Store last month. Last week, once Tumblr had announced its new policy, it was reinstated.

Really?!!!!! It has been all over the internet and even the BBC has been reporting it!

I usually quickly check the news that Google Now picks up for me on my phone - no time for anything else. Apparently, Google is very selective 😁

FotD for me is tumblr's new policy, however, one of the tumblr people I followed is now putting their content on a site called... humblr.

I can't vouch for this site in any way but I didn't see anything to give me cause for alarm (malware or phishing, etc).

If humblr ends up being where the migration of tumblr kink goes, might be useful to add a humblr thread here for interesting people to follow.
