I'm just posting to see if I can post something using IPFS.
That one file you found sometime ago on the internet but the link is dead? No problem with IPFS. I was going to go into the technical details but if you're interested in those it's just a google search away.
Minimum required technical talk: I'm hosting an IPFS node where I host some of my files, if somebody request a file he will download it and, by default, cache it for 24 hours so it will load faster for everybody else requesting that file. If some other node "pins" my file, it will host my file forever (until the server goes down). So as long as the file is pinned or cached somewhere it will be available to everyone. Even if somebody manages to take down every server or pc hosting the file it will pop back up with the same hash if somebody hosts it again. IPFS uses hashes to identify files, not paths. In the old (and current) internet deleting the file from the server would require somebody else to host it and everybody finding out about it in order to reach it on the new url. IPFS uses hashes so just request the same hash as before and the same file will pop up from wherever it is at that moment.
Ok, let's try this out.
I took a screencap from one of my vids and hosted it on IPFS, it got the hash QmcBEHqhdDYpgsvhigzVRuBXivcDfF9uAzns4YK72T9ZQF
If you run ipfs locally on your machine, you can get this file by executing
{diceroller-code}
in a browser, navigate to https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmcBEHqhdDYpgsvhigz...4YK72T9ZQF
The same link can be used to post a picture on this forum:

eady posted this one but this was a test to see if switching to IPFS for publishing would give any issues. I wont be able to track number of views or anything like that but at least my files will be available always for everybody.
