I'm platform agnostic. My main computing is done on Macs / iOS, servers on Ubuntu, and Win10 for some "business" applications. Not much Android these days, but I have had Nexus phones in the past. I also have been known to mix latex and spandex during self-bondage sessions, please don't judge... ๐ ๐ ๐

A long overdue update on my laptop woes... and it's good news!ย ๐ย
I have fixed my new toy, Laptop 2 (fingers crossed!!!) - after much angst removing and reloading software, which fixed absolutely nothing, I picked up my screwdriver and took the thing apart.
Nothing obvious in the main 'keyboard' half, all connectors very neat and tightly in place, main components all seated properly and no signs of over-heating. But after I disassembled the 'screen' half the main connector cable looked a little tight (though it appeared securely locked in place) , so I re-seated it and..... not a single glitch, flicker or blank screen since!
The repair cost me nothing but time and a lot of patience (small parts, big fingers!) - I did snap a few tiny lugs off a cover, but easily fixed.
Phew!ย
Laptop 1 (the old slab) is also now behaving itself - no idea what the problem was, but suddenly it decided to re-join the world wide web and hasn't looked back since... most peculiar.
Now all I need is some 'home alone' time to get creative and video editingย ๐ย
