I think some of these renders would benefit from a stronger directional light source and a weaker ambient light, the current lack of directional lighting makes the characters lack any shadows except the one cast on the floor. It works alright during sunset or early morning when the direct light of the sun is weak but is detrimental to mid day renders and indoor shots.

In your most recent post for example the pinned down guys back should be brighter while his front and head should be dimmer, same with the lady pinning him, otherwise they jar with the bright sunlit background.
