Yes, exactly. Or "with realizing", but still when one can not resist it. HFO is a good example.

Yes and know. We learn to play roles during the socialization (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialization). "Humans need social experiences to learn their culture and to survive". In other words, to survive in the society, we learn role-playing.
Such role playing can be conscious or automatic. Usually, it's totally automatic. We are one person at home with the parents, we wear another hat with our friends, we wear a different dress when in the office, we show a different behavior in the crowd, etc.
BDSM, child play, power exchange play ar all conscius ones. Until you are getting inescapably bound & gagged 😆 That's the ultimate freedom - you are free to do whatever you can, the responsibility from this moment on lies on the person who bound you.

In the hypno-context - yes, in the real-life no (if it's done consicously, like in Castaneda's controlled stupidity).
Just in case, I'm not against role-playing in hypno. This is perfectly fine. Like in "fake it until you make it". Role-playing is a method to shift the reality, or, rather, to move to another reality. I'm against declaring, that "Ohhh.... I can't resist the trigger .... Oh... I was such truggered....", while it was a role-playing.
In other words, I'm against lying to yourself and to everybody. Please be honest.
